On Becoming Babywise, 4th ed by Gary Ezzo Describes Parent Directed Feeding (PDF) as a method for teaching infants to sleep through the night and eat healthy meals. Follows a Feed-Wake-Sleep cycle of approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. My Review: I have seen this method work with other parents but have not yet tried it myself. Generally the book presents objective data to illustrate the effectiveness of PDF. The book is very biased towards breast-feeding, but does present objective information about the benefits of breast-feeding over formula. The authors present evidence comparing nursing and bottle feeding.

On Writing by Stephen King Guide to writing fiction. My Review: An excellent discussion of what it takes to be a good writer. The focus should not be on plot but on Narrative, Description, and Dialogue.
